Water Charges

All our water connections are metered and are read once a year in November and December. The bills are then processed and are sent out to the members in January/February. For the scheme to maintain a quality assured service it is important that members pay their water bills promptly to contribute to the costs of the scheme. Presently the scheme offers a 10% discount on bills that are paid in full before the due date at the end of March

Under the equity and fairness agreement of 2018 all domestic consumers on the Callow Lake Group Water Scheme receive a free allowance of 160m3 (160,000 litres) of water per year. All other water consumed above this amount is charged at €1.00 per m3 (1000 litres).

All land and commercial consumers are charged €1.00 per m3 (1000 litres).

It is recommended that all consumers make sure that they conserve water. Firstly, to reduce the impact on climate change and secondly to try to stay within their free allowance and reduce charges.

Please see our Water Conservation section to give you some ideas for conserving water.
